Meet Jason Rinker

I'm a licensed acupuncturist and a Diplomate of Oriental Medicine with 26+ years of clinical experience. I've practiced since 1999. My work is focused on helping the body regulate, recover, and heal by working with the nervous system.

We all know what it feels like when something just feels off.

  • Pain that lingers.
  • Stress that won't let go.
  • Poor sleep.
  • Tension.
  • Fatigue.
  • Feeling disconnected from your own body.

Using acupuncture, electrical stimulation, and a whole-body approach to physiology, I help calm overactive stress responses, reduce pain signaling, support recovery, and encourage healthier nervous system function.

For some people, that means relief from chronic pain, migraines, tension, or orthopedic issues. For others, it means better sleep, less anxiety, more energy, or steady support while trying to grow their family.

Rather than simply chasing symptoms, the goal is to understand what may be driving the pattern, and help the body shift toward better function, resilience, and healing.

Because when the system communicates better, healing becomes possible.

How I practice

Riverside is a private practice, and I'm the only practitioner. The person you meet at your first visit is the person who treats you every time.

One-on-one
Every visit is with me from start to finish. I listen, explain what I'm doing and why, and adjust as you change.
Traditional and modern
I combine traditional acupuncture with contemporary neuroscience, neurological acupuncture, and electroacupuncture, plus cupping and nutritional assessment where they help.
Alongside your doctors
Acupuncture works alongside medical care, fertility treatment, and physical therapy. Your doctors lead your medical care, and I never change your medications.
Always learning
I keep investing in training and clinical equipment, guided by years of experience and current science.

A private practice by the river

Riverside Acupuncture is in Columbia, in Lancaster County along the Susquehanna River.

My treatment room has brick walls, plants, and big windows onto a garden. It's quiet, and it's private.

Two tables
When it's appropriate, I can treat partners, family members, or friends in the same appointment, each with their own plan.
Who I see
Patients from Columbia, Lancaster, York, Mount Joy, Marietta, Elizabethtown, and across South Central Pennsylvania.

Training and experience

I'm a licensed acupuncturist (L.Ac.) and a Diplomate of Oriental Medicine (Dipl. O.M.) through the NCCAOM, the national certification body for acupuncture and East Asian medicine. I've practiced since 1999, more than 26 years of clinical experience.

I earned my master's degree in acupuncture at the Northwest Institute of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine in 1999, after a BA in Natural Health Science from Bastyr University.

Since 2022, I've also worked as an acupuncturist in the Holistic Health Department at Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health.

Over the years my work has centered on two areas: orthopedic and neurological care, and support for people trying to conceive, naturally or with IVF, FET, or IUI.
